Present for over 80 years, although recent history begins in 1953, NLG (Navigazione Libera del Golfo) is a shipping company of the Aponte Family (also owner of the Snav) active in fast connections between Naples, Capri, the Sorrento Peninsula and the Amalfi Coast. In recent years the company has diversified routes and investments, adding seasonal connections with the Pontine islands (Terracina-Ponza-Ventotene) and the Tremiti islands (Termoli-Isole Tremiti).
The NLG fleet (Navigazione Libera del Golfo) consists of 11 units: 1 Catamaran, 9 Hydrojet hydrofoils and 1 motor ship.
Children under the age of 2 travel for free, without the right to a seat (they will have to travel on their lap for the entire duration of the crossing); for children from 2 to 12 years of age, the specific child rate is applied. We remind you that children under the age of 12 cannot travel alone, or circulate around the ship, without being accompanied by their parents or adults who have them in custody.
Dogs, cats and pets can travel on the NLG fleet upon purchase of a regular travel ticket. No animals will have access to the passenger lounges, with the exception of guide dogs for the blind. Dogs must have a muzzle and a leash; cats or other small animals must travel in the special carrier (provided by the owner ) for the duration of the trip. Animals must be in possession of a valid health or veterinary certificate certifying that they are not affected by diseases and, in particular for dogs, the anti-rabies vaccination.
Each passenger can check one piece of hand luggage up to 5 kg free of charge. The dimensions of hand luggage must be: 50x30x15. Baggage exceeding the previously indicated sizes must be specified at the time of booking and purchased at the relative rate.
On NLG ships it is possible to take your own bicycle on board, upon purchase of the ticket (approx. 6 euros each way).
None of the boats have a WiFi internet connection.
There is a bar on all NLG ships: it is possible to purchase small snacks and some drinks on board.
CANCELLATION penalties
Time before departure and penalty:
- more 48 hours: 30%;
- less than 48 hours: 100%.
Pre-sale and booking fees are non-refundable.
CHANGE costs
Time before departure and cost:
- 1 hour: €5.
At these costs any fare differences and the change fee of €2 per route must be added.
