Toremar was founded on 7 November 1975 in Livorno. The company connects to the island of Elba and the other destinations of the Tuscan archipelago. Ferries and hydrofoils leave from Livorno, Piombino and Porto Santo Stefano. On Toremar ships - all provided by an air conditioning system - you can use the bar and access to the wi-fi.

The company offers some special offers, which are available while seats last. It should be borne in mind that a ticket issued with special offers is neither modifiable nor refundable. Special offers cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions.
SPECIAL RESIDENT / NATIVE RATE
In order to take advantage of the rates for residents passengers must show a valid personal document when purchasing the ticket and boarding, showing the ownership of the right to apply the facilitation requested.
For accompanying vehicles, the registration certificate showing that this vehicle is in the name of the person requesting the benefit must be shown.
Children up to 4 years of age travel for free; children up to 12 years of age are entitled to a 50% discount.
Animals are allowed on board the company's carriers, but will be boarded only if they have a ticket, an anti-rabies vaccination document where due and a valid medical certificate. Dog keepers must muzzle them and keep them on a leash, other small animals must be placed in cages or baskets, by the owner. Pets are not accepted in the lounge chairs, but are allowed only on the external decks of the ship or, where available, in suitable shelters subject to availability.
Guide dogs intended for the assistance of blind people, if equipped with the relevant documentation, are exempt from paying the ticket. Specimens belonging to protected animal or plant species can be transported only if they have the relevant license or certificate and under the conditions provided for by law.
All passengers have the right to take 20 kg gross of hand luggage with them free of charge in case of travel on ferries and 10 kg in case of travel on fast vehicles. Children paying half the fare are granted half the excess, so 10 kg in the case of ships and 5 in the case of fast boats.
Items that are carried in suitcases, travel bags, boxes and the like for the passenger's personal use are considered and admitted as baggage. The company declines all responsibility for the theft of objects and/or luggage left unattended.
Bicycles can be loaded on board the Toremar units. The price varies according to the season and their presence must be declared at the time of booking.
Among the services offered by the Toremar company there is also Wi-Fi which allows passengers to always remain connected while browsing.
There is a bar on all Toremar ferries where you can enjoy drinks and various snacks.
CANCELLATION penalties
Time before departure and penalty:
- more than of 24 hours: 10%;
- less than 24 hours: 25%;
- less than 30 minutes: 100%.
Booking fees are never refundable.
CHANGE costs
Time before departure and cost:
- more than 5 hours: payment of the company's new booking fees.
- more than 30 minutes: at the Toremar ticket offices upon payment of new company booking fees.
To these modification costs must be added any tariff differences and the modification fees equal to €2 per route.
