Founded on December 21 1936 in Naples, Tirrenia is a private shipping company that connects Sardinia, Sicily and the Tremiti islands. It is also active in the ports of Brindisi, Civitavecchia, Genoa, Livorno, Naples, Ravenna and Termoli. On Tirrenia ships, you can access to numerous services, ranging from overnight stays to restaurants, from the relax area to the Wi-Fi.

Entry into the cabin is prohibited except for cabins with access for animals, as well as in the lounge chairs and in the common areas. They are allowed only on the external decks of the ship and in the special shelters.
Attention: the foreign local authorities may require some specific documents: European passport, medical certificate of good health and the compulsory vaccination booklet (anti- rabies must be done at least 21 days before leaving).
Each passenger can take one piece of hand baggage weighing up to 20 kg free of charge in the cabin or in the assigned seat.
Children can take one piece of baggage weighing up to 10 kg with them free of charge.
On board Tirrenia ships there are safety deposit boxes at the Purser's office, which can be used free of charge if you are transporting valuables or money.
On the Tirrenia ships it is possible to embark the bicycle at the corresponding rate for the chosen route.
On Tirrenia ferries , the WI-FI connection is subject to charges.

There are also self-service restaurants with a wide choice of menus dedicated to adults and children.
It is possible to order a menu and receive it comfortably in the cabin, with the room service.
CANCELLATION penalties
Time before departure and penalty:
- more than of 30 days: 10%;
- plus of 48 hours: 20%;
- more than of 4 hours: 50%:
- less than 4 hours: 100% (no refund);
- tickets purchased on the same day as the departure date: 100% (no refund).
Booking fees do not they are never refundable.
Partial cancellations (changes in number of pax, vehicles, accommodations) possible under the same conditions as total cancellations but only up to 9 days before departure (the number of days indicated does not include the day of the change and the day of departure).
CHANGE costs
Time before departure and cost:
- plus of 2 hours (standard rate): €10.00
- plus of 2 hours (special rate): €25.00.
To these modification costs must be added any tariff differences and the modification fee equal to €2 per leg.
