Minoan Lines

Grimaldi Minoan Lines is an Italian-Greek shipping company founded in 2017, when Minoan Lines (founded in 1972) became part of the Grimaldi group.

For 30 years it has been a leader in maritime transport between Italy and Greece and in the connections between Piraeus and the island of Crete. The first partnership with Grimaldi dates back to 2001, when the latter decided to enhance connections with Greece.

Minoan Lines operates in the passenger, vehicle and cargo transport sector, and has very modern ferries, all equipped with international certifications for on-board safety and the most modern life-saving equipment.

All units were built to cruise ship standards. Therefore passengers can enjoy all the comforts and the following services: a wide choice of cabins, lounges and bars, shops for shopping, children's play areas, a swimming pool, a disco, a cinema and much more.

Offers Minoan Lines

There's a reduction for passengers over 60 in all accommodations.

There's a reduction for families or groups of friends of 3 or more people in deck passage accommodation, but tickets must have a single booking code.

For those who book the outward and return journeys in advance and at the same time, a reduction is applied to the fare.

Children

Up to 3 years of age, children travel for free, but without the right to a bed or seat. In any case, it is mandatory to issue a ticket free of charge. Up to two children are allowed free per stateroom.

From 4 to 12 years of age a 50% reduction is applied on all ferry lines.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Animals on board

Pets are allowed on board Minoan Lines ships, but they are not allowed in the cabin, lounge and common areas. They are allowed on the outside decks of the ship, on a leash and wearing a muzzle.

It's possible to bring your pet with you in the cabin only by booking the special "pet friendly" cabin in advance, and paying the relative supplement. A maximum of two pets are allowed per cabin. If the animal travels in the dedicated area, no extra will be applied.

Ad hoc accommodations are provided for dogs and cats, while all other animals must travel in the carriers owned by the passenger.

The presence of the pet must be indicated at the time of booking.

For the transport of pets such as dogs, cats and ferrets, it's compulsory to carry the European Passport (PET) with you on international routes, while on national routes, registration in the canine registry office and a certificate of good health are sufficient.

Dogs, cats and ferrets entering the EU from Tunisia and Morocco must be identified by a microchip or a legible tattoo and the following documentation must be presented on boarding: health certificate, copy of the certificate with electronic identification data of the animal, copy of the certificate with the data of the anti-rabies vaccination (to which the antibody titration must be attached).

The guide dog can travel in the cabin together with the passenger.

Luggage

Passengers with seat accommodation or deck passage can bring only one hand baggage of modest dimensions. Baggage exceeding the limits indicated must be deposited in the luggage compartment (for a fee).

Passengers with cabin accommodation can take only one piece of baggage with them.

For those traveling by car, there are no luggage transport limits if left in your vehicle. It is advisable to bring the essentials for the trip with you on board, as it's not possible to access the garage during navigation.

WiFi on board

Wi-Fi on board is subject to charges. It's possible to access the Internet from your own device by purchasing the NETKEY CARD or by using the "Internet Corners".

Bar services and catering on board

On Minoan Lines ships there are à la carte and self-service restaurants, with a wide choice of Mediterranean and international cuisine.

There are also cafes both inside and outside the ship offering a wide variety of coffees, juices, alcoholic/soft drinks and sweets.

On ships equipped with a swimming pool, you can have a drink or a cool drink at the pool bar.

Cancellation policy

ADRIATIC LINES (Italy-Greece connections)

It's possible to proceed with the cancellation of the reservation but penalties will be applied in the following percentages:

  • 10%, plus; fixed fees, up to 30 days before departure;
  • 30%, plus; fixed fees, from 29 days to 7 days before departure;
  • 50%, plus; fixed fees, from 6 days to 2 days before departure;
  • 100%, plus; fixed fees, from the day before departure or for failure to show up for boarding (in this case, even any meals booked will not be refunded).

Tickets purchased with a special rate, early booking, residents/natives in Sardinia and Sicily are not refundable.

It’s not possible to cancel a standard fare ticket if it has already been cancelled. date, time or line change object for more than one time; than twice.

In case of presentation at check-in with a valid identity document, expired or invalid, boarding will be cancelled. rejected and will not be accepted. no refund is foreseen.

CHANGES

It's possible to proceed with the modification of the ticket (date, time, route, name of passengers, type of accommodation, type of vehicle and license plate) by paying a contribution of 20 euros of variation fees.

In some types of modifications, it is necessary to change the format. You may be required to pay change feesequal to 30 euros. Specifically:

  • Change of departure date/time: possible up to 2 days before departure - 30 euros/ fare difference, if any;</li >
  • Change of accommodation: possible until the day of departure - no payment/ fare difference, if any;
  • Vehicle change: possible until the day of departure - no payment/ fare difference, if any;
  • Name change: possible until the day of departure - no payment;
  • Adding a passenger: possible until the day of departure - no payment/ payment of the passenger ticket added passenger;
  • Adding pets: possible until the day of departure - no payment/ payment of pet ticket added;
  • Adding meals: until day of departure - no payment / payment of the cost of the added meal.

It’s not! It is possible to modify tickets issued with special promotional offers.

INTERNAL LINES

The cancellation of the reservation is a matter of course. subject to the following penalties:

  • no penalty, with the exception of fixed fees, up to 14 days before departure;
  • 25%, plus; fixed fees, from 13 to 7 days before departure;
  • 50%, plus; fixed fees, from 6 days to 12 hours before departure;
  • 100%, plus; fixed fees, in the 12 hours before departure or for no-show at check-in.
