Ichnusa Lines was founded in 2021 on the initiative of the Finsea Group and the San Giorgio del Porto shipyards, two Genoese companies operating respectively in logistics and ship repairs.
The partnership gave rise to the company Genova Trasporti Marittimi (GTM) whose business challenge is to offer passengers the safe crossing of a certainly splendid but difficult stretch of sea like that of the Strait of Bonifacio.
The Ichnusa ship is 64 meters long, 13 meters wide and has a maximum capacity of 325 passengers. The garage can carry nearly 50 cars. It is also equipped with two stabilizing fins that allow the safe crossing of a stretch of sea, the one between Corsica and Sardinia, where storm surges and strong currents are frequent.
Free for children up to 4 years old; reduction for children aged 4 to 12 years old.
Passengers under the age of 16 cannot travel without an accompanying adult. Minors traveling under the responsibility of adults who are not parents or legal guardians must be in possession of their identity document, written authorization from the parent or legal guardian and a copy of the latter's identity document.
Passengers who have reached the age of 16, but not yet 18, can travel unaccompanied with a disclaimer letter signed by a parent and enclosed copies of the valid documents of the parent or legal guardian.
Ichnusa Lines allows the transport of dogs, cats and other small animals exclusively on the external decks of the ship and upon purchase of the corresponding travel ticket. Dogs must be equipped with a leash and muzzle; other small animals must be placed in special carriers. The loading of pet carriers and cages does not generate a surcharge on the tariff applied for the passage of animals. Guide dogs for the blind are exempt from paying the ticket and will be able to access the internal areas. Transport (regulated by the health and veterinary provisions in force) and care of pets are the responsibility of the user.
Each passenger has the right to bring with them FREE hand luggage whose dimensions do not exceed 150 cm. high, 50 cm. wide and 30 cm. depth. For the transport of goods for commercial purposes or of noxious or dangerous substances, it is necessary to request availability from the Carrier who, if possible, will provide the relative quotation. The Carrier has the right to deny availability for such transport.
On the Ichnusa ferry it is possible to board the bicycle at the scheduled rate. If placed with a hook behind the vehicle, select "Car + coupling for bicycle".
CANCELLATION penalties
Time before departure and penalty:
- more than 20 days: 10%;
- more than 10 days: 20%;
- more than 48 hours: 30%;
- more than 24 hours: 50%;
- less than 24 hours: 100% (no refund).
CHANGE fees (date, time)
Time before departure:
- 30 minutes (passengers);
- 60 minutes (vehicles).
