Ferry tickets to Sardinia and Sicily and trains: Grimaldi Lines and Trenitalia intermodality

Reaching the two largest Italian islands is now easier thanks to this new intermodal travel solution by rail and sea.

Ferry tickets to Sardinia and Sicily can be purchased in combination with the italian trains (Regionale, Frecce, Intercity and Intercity Notte).

From the new collaboration between the shipping company Grimaldi Lines and Trenitalia comes this intermodal solution thanks to which it is possible, for trips starting from 1 June 2024, to reach the two largest islands in Italy without having to look for the right connections.

During the booking phase, by choosing the desired port location as the final destination of the train, the available door-to-door travel solutions are proposed.

For the ports of Naples and Olbia, a special bus service is also available for the journey from the train station to the port.

Tickets are nominative and valid exclusively for the day and trains/ships booked. The train voucher can be purchased from the commercial offers available and in the most popular class and level of service. Booking changes, refunds and name changes are permitted according to the rules established by the type purchased. For the ship voucher, neither date and/or time changes nor name changes are permitted.

The railway and naval services are to be considered distinct transport contracts with regard to relationships with customers, for example with regard to the payment of refunds.
