Artisan chocolate festival in Iglesias (South Sardinia)

The ChocoMoments traveling chocolate factory now makes a permanent stop in Iglesias, delighting the palates of adults and children with high quality cocoa.

ChocoMoments has been organizing artisanal chocolate festivals in the most beautiful squares in Italy for years, with the participation of master chocolatiers. Iglesias, a municipality in the province of Southern Sardinia, is now a stable stop in the so-called Traveling Chocolate Factory.

The event is characterized by machinery, information banners, videos that allow the public to see live the processing of chocolate starting from cocoa beans (cold pressed), pralines created with local products and tastings of typical products, workshops for children, show cooking, educational lessons for the city’s institutes, lessons for adults and more.

The cocoa used is a selected blend of highly prized criollo, trinitario and forastero from Central America.

The event is organized by ChocoMoments, an ACAI member (Association of Italian Artisan Chocolatiers), in collaboration with the Pro loco and with the patronage of the Municipality of Iglesias.

How to get to Iglesias from Italy

A functional solution to get to Iglesias, located in south-western Sardinia, starting from Italy, is that of ferries to Cagliari, which leave their moorings from Civitavecchia, Naples or Palermo and are operated by the shipping company Grimaldi Lines.

Once disembarked, if you travel with a vehicle, it takes about 50 minutes (you have to travel 60 kilometers via Strada Statale 130 Iglesiente); if you are on foot you can take a regional train, which takes about an hour, or the ARST bus 803.
