To go to the south of Sardinia<\/strong> in general, in the Medio Campidano, in the Sulcis Iglesiente area, but also in central areas such as the province of Oristano<\/strong>, the preferred port of disembarkation is certainly that of Cagliari, reachable from the ports of Civitavecchia, Naples and Palermo.<\/p>\n\n\n

Even the ports of Olbia and Golfo Aranci are functional for reaching the Province of Nuoro, but they are ideal for arriving in the North-East<\/strong>, where the Costa Smeralda<\/em><\/strong> stands out. Ferries arriving in Olbia depart from Civitavecchia (making the shortest route between the island and the Italian mainland), from Livorno and, in summer, from Piombino and Genoa. Departures for Golfo Aranci are made from Livorno.<\/p>\n\n\n

The port of Olbia is also an excellent landing point to reach Santa Teresa Gallura, the closest port to Corsica, from where the ferries that cross the Strait of Bonifacio depart to arrive on the French island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Porto Torres is the best landing place to disembark to go to the province of Sassari<\/strong>; it is also the closest port to the Asinara National Park. Ferries arriving in Porto Torres leave their moorings from Civitavecchia and Genoa.<\/p>\n\n\n
