During the tourist season<\/strong>, on those smaller Italian islands that have certain characteristics, it is not possible<\/strong> for many categories of people to disembark with their vehicle in tow<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With some legislative decrees in force for decades, limitations have been established on the influx and road traffic in the small islands<\/strong> where there are municipalities declared to be residence or care. The so-called landing bans can be ordered if the extra-urban road network of the island territories does not exceed 50 kilometers and the difficulties and dangers of car traffic are particularly intense. Each year the Ministry of Sustainable Infrastructure and Mobility<\/strong>, after consulting the regions and municipalities concerned, may restrict<\/strong> and\/or prohibit the inflow and use of motor vehicles and mopeds belonging to persons who are not part of the stable population of the islands during the high season months and tourist movement. <\/p>\n\n\n
