Currently there is the <strong>Minerva Tower<\/strong>, built at the time of Robert of Anjou for the sighting of the Saracens, on which, in case of danger, a bell was made to ring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The nature reserve is a <strong>Specially Protected Area of \u200b\u200bMediterranean Importance<\/strong> (SPAMI).<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"652\" height=\"469\" src=\"https:\/\/www.traghettiup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Area_marina_protetta_di_Punta_Campanella.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10774\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.traghettiup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Area_marina_protetta_di_Punta_Campanella.jpg 652w, https:\/\/www.traghettiup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Area_marina_protetta_di_Punta_Campanella-300x216.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 652px) 100vw, 652px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><strong><em>The marine protected area<\/em><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>To reach the Punta Campanella area, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.traghettiup.com\/en\/luoghi\/sorrento#tratte\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.traghettiup.com\/en\/luoghi\/sorrento#tratte\">hydrofoils for the Sorrento Coast<\/a> may be useful, direct to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.traghettiup.com\/en\/porti\/sorrento\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.traghettiup.com\/en\/porti\/sorrento\">port of Sorrento<\/a>, from where you can then move with the SITA SUD Campania buses or thanks to the maritime connections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where to swim and stay on the beach at Punta Campanella<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Punta Campanella is characterized by <strong>white limestone cliffs overlooking the sea<\/strong>, so the beaches are not many or large; the few that exist, however, are caressed by the <strong>pristine sea<\/strong>. The adjacent <em><strong>beach of the fico <\/strong>(fig tree<\/em>) is very small, sandy and free, near the fishermen&#8217;s mooring pier. Continuing on, there is a concrete solarium equipped with deck chairs and umbrellas. The pristine bay is owned by the National Fund for the Environment and, according to Pliny the Elder, it is here that Ulysses met the sirens of the Odyssey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Nuns Beach<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The beach of the nuns (<em>delle monache<\/em>) is made up of small pebbles and it is free, with the possibility of renting bathing equipment; it is easily accessible via the Amerigo Vespucci street of the Massa area of \u200b\u200bNerano and the passage through the adjacent <em>Lido La Perla<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Lido la Perla<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>beach of Lido La Perla<\/strong> (Venione), located in Nerano, in Via Vespucci street, is pebbly, with an equipped bathing establishment, bar and restaurant; parking is available in the immediate vicinity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Germans beach<\/h3>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"960\" height=\"540\" src=\"https:\/\/www.traghettiup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Spiaggia_dei_tedeschi.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10770\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.traghettiup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Spiaggia_dei_tedeschi.jpg 960w, https:\/\/www.traghettiup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Spiaggia_dei_tedeschi-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.traghettiup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Spiaggia_dei_tedeschi-768x432.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><strong><em>Germans beach<\/em><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>The <strong>beach of the Germans<\/strong> (<em>dei tedeschi<\/em>) is located in the hamlet of Marina del Cantone in the municipality of Massa Lubrense; reachable via a steep staircase, it is made of pebbles and gravel, partly free and partly in concession to two bathing establishments equipped with a kiosk bar and restaurant. Already among the rocks outcropping a short distance from the shore, the marine fauna is remarkable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Marina del Cantone<\/h3>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.traghettiup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Marina_del_Cantone-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10771\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.traghettiup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Marina_del_Cantone-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.traghettiup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Marina_del_Cantone-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.traghettiup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Marina_del_Cantone.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><strong><em>Marina del Cantone<\/em><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>The <strong>beach of Marina del Cantone<\/strong>, in the hamlet of Massa, is also known as the beach of the bay of Nerano; about 200 meters long, it is one of the largest in the area and it is pebbly, with free sections and sections in concession to bathing establishments, with several restaurants close by, very close to Amerigo Vespucci street and the public parking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Recommone<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>small beach of Recommone<\/strong>, in the bay of the same name, is accessible via a short but not very easy path that starts from the Marina del Cantone and crosses <em>Punta di Recommone<\/em>, where the sixteenth-century tower of the same name is located. Partly made of gravel and partly pebbles, it is also known as Conca del Sogno, it is in concession to a bathing establishment with a restaurant and has a free section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Crapolla Fjord<\/h3>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.traghettiup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Fiordo_di_Crapolla-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10772\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.traghettiup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Fiordo_di_Crapolla-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.traghettiup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Fiordo_di_Crapolla-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.traghettiup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Fiordo_di_Crapolla-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.traghettiup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Fiordo_di_Crapolla.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><strong><em>Crapolla Fjord<\/em><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Crapolla Fjord<\/strong> is characterized by a free pebble beach that can be reached on foot starting from the square of Torca, a hamlet in Massa; the path, made up of a mule track and 700 steps, is tiring to walk. Used in the past as a natural port, it has traces of ancient Roman houses; the clear water of the Iarito stream flows from the aqueduct of the time, of which the inlet forms the gorge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Scaricatoio<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Scaricatoio beach<\/strong> is located on the coastal side of the San Pietro hills; of pebbles and stones, it is difficult to reach, via a path that begins in the upper part of the municipality of Piano di Sorrento, crosses the Amalfi Drive 163 and ends with a steep and run-down staircase; in the bay there is the ruin of the seventeenth-century customs house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Tordigliano Grande<\/h3>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"767\" src=\"https:\/\/www.traghettiup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Tordigliano_Grande-1024x767.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10773\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.traghettiup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Tordigliano_Grande-1024x767.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.traghettiup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Tordigliano_Grande-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.traghettiup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Tordigliano_Grande-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.traghettiup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Tordigliano_Grande-1536x1151.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.traghettiup.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Tordigliano_Grande.jpg 1600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><strong><em>Tordigliano Grande<\/em><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>The <strong>beach of Tordigliano Grande<\/strong>, or Marina Longa di Tordigliano, about 300 meters long, is located in the municipality of Vico Equense, in the locality of Tordigliano-Chiosse, almost opposite the Li Galli islands; to reach it there is a path of medium difficulty that originates from the SS163 and takes half an hour; sandy and wild, it is entirely free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Marinella di Tordigliano<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>small beach of Marinella di Tordigliano<\/strong>, located in the municipality of Vico Equense, is about 50 meters long, made of sand and pebbles, free and surrounded by nature. On the sides there are two other beaches, almost entirely made up of stones.
